Sending lots of aloha and prayers to those affected by the Lahaina fires. My heart and memories are from this February 2023 visit. Please donate to keep Maui strong. Let’s all please be sensitive to the relief efforts, of course, and support the locals. This is a 2.7 mi out-and-back paved trail. Views of Lanai and Molokai. It's good to start near Black Rock Beach (by the Sheraton). It is a flat paved trail but can get crowded. Google Maps

Single-day, 4 stage format, mountain bike endurance race. The actual race is 32 miles, but with the stage format, it is about 39 miles. Over 3,500 feet of elevation gain with a good combination of dirt trails. You are timed when racing on the course and not at the stage rest breaks for snacks and hydration. However, there is a half-way point cut-off time. This is a well-organized race by Clipped In For Life. I haven’t missed a race since its debut! Google Maps I Website
We tied up our rafts and cruised down the American River. It's a great way to cool off during the summer with water gun fights and lively crowds! We started at the Lower Sunrise Recreation Area and made it close to Goethe Park. Google Maps I Website
Day trip to Frisco with our friends from Indy. Here is a list of the places we toured: Pier 39, Ghirardelli Square, Golden Gate Bridge, Metreon, and Martin Luther King Memorial. Google Maps
David Goggins 4X4X48 Challenge. This challenge is to walk, run, or bike 4 miles every 4 hours for 48 hours. It definitely challenges your sleep pattern, to say the least. See the video to see how we did.
You can hike or run anywhere 3-5 miles around this area. It’s more of a boat launch area but a nice place to picnic to avoid some of the crowds at the more popular areas of Folsom Lake. Google Map I Website
This is part of a six-race mountain bike race series held by TBF Racing. It’s a 6 mile lap around the trails of Granite Beach, Folsom Lake. Google Maps I Website
